How to Play the Las Vegas SuperContest

What Is the Las Vegas SuperContest?

The Las Vegas SuperContest is the premier sports-betting competition in the world. Contestants enter for $1,500 each and compete over the course of the NFL season for a share of a huge prize pool.

The prize pool is based on the number of entrants, minus the “administration fee” applied by the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, the host venue. The prize structure is determined by the number of entries in the SuperContest, and the payouts gradually increase the better the finish.

Each week, contestants select five NFL games against the spread using the SuperContest contest lines. The contestants are then scored on a weekly basis using those five selections. A correct pick is worth one point, a tie or push is worth one-half point, and a loss is worth zero points. Points are totaled on the SuperContest leaderboard for the entire 17-week NFL season, and the contestant who earns the most points takes home the lion’s share of the prize pool and is declared the year’s champion.

How Can You Play in the Las Vegas SuperContest?

According to the contest’s rules, the Las Vegas SuperContest is open to everyone of legal gambling age in the State of Nevada, although you do not have to be a resident of Nevada. All contestants must be at least 21 years of age to participate and provide a valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license, passport, or state identification card.

Registration must take place in person at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, and all weekly picks must be made in person. Contestants are allowed to designate a proxy to place their weekly SuperContest selections. The proxy must register with the contestant in person at the time of registration.

Step 1: Put Together the $1,500 Entry

The Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest costs $1,500 per entry, and there is a maximum of two entries allowed per contestant. The first step to entering the SuperContest is to get the $1,500 (or $3,000 if you’re doing two entries) together.

There are several ways to pay for the SuperContest entry fee. One can enter with cash, check, cashier’s check, money order, credit card, or live casino gaming chips from the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. For more information, head to the dedicated SuperContest section of WestgateResorts.com.

Step 2: Decide If You Need a Proxy

Once you’ve put together the money for entry, the second step to entering the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest is to secure a proxy if needed. If a proxy is not needed, you may skip this step.

What’s a proxy? A SuperContest proxy is someone who is authorized to enter your picks for you. Let’s say you live out of state, then you’ll very likely need a proxy. Maybe you live in Nevada but are either too far from Las Vegas or just don’t have the time to make it down to the sportsbook every week to enter your picks. A proxy can take care of this for you.

Proxy services come in different shapes and sizes. You can secure the services of a pay-for proxy, or you can simply find a friend or family member who is willing to act as a proxy for you.

We recommend the great group over at FootballContest.com. FootballContest.com has a top-notch, customer-friendly program backed by years of high-quality service and reassuring customer testimonials. They’ve been a proxy for Gridiron Gamble and come with a strong reputation. Trust The Collective, FootballContest.com is the best SuperContest proxy in town.

Plus, FootballContest.com offers proxy services for other football contests in Las Vegas. Whether it’s the SuperContest Gold, Golden Nugget Ultimate Football Challenge, or the William Hill College Pick’em Football Contest, FootballContest.com has you covered.

Step 3: Sign Up for the SuperContest at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino

Once you’ve put together the money for entry and secured a proxy if needed, the third step to entering the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest is to get down to the casino and sign up. You must register for the SuperContest in person at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. When you do, you’ll register alongside your proxy.

If you don’t have one already, you’ll need a Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino players card. When you first arrive at the casino to sign up for the SuperContest, proceed to either the Players Club window or the SuperBook window to sign up and receive a card. You will need a valid form of identification to sign up.

Bring your valid form of identification and proceed to the sports-betting counter inside the SuperBook. Fill out the required entry form and present an agent with your entry fee.

Step 4: How to Submit Your Las Vegas SuperContest Picks

Once you’ve completed the SuperContest sign-up process and are in the big dance, it’s time to get to work submitting your picks. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook releases contest lines for contestants to use every Wednesday at approximately 5 p.m. PT during the NFL season. Picks must be submitted by the deadline of 11 a.m. PT each Saturday.

If you’re using a proxy service, you’ll want to work out how you will submit your picks to your proxy and plan for how the proxy can get to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook in time for your picks to be submitted. Proxies may have different deadline requirements than the Saturday deadline to submit picks, so address accordingly. If you miss the deadline, you miss the week, and that can be a huge hit.

Step 5: How Can You Track the SuperContest?

Once the deadline to submit picks passes each week, Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook releases a list on contest picks on its website. This is where you will also find a leaderboard of the SuperContest that is updated weekly, plus other information like official SuperContest rules and payouts.

You’ll also be able to track the SuperContest by following Gridiron Gamble. Step 6: Repeat the Process for SuperContest Gold Entries

If you’re competing in the SuperContest Gold competition, which comes with a higher buy-in of $5,000, simply repeat the steps above. The SuperContest Gold is a high-roller sports-handicapping contest that was introduced in 2017. The most unique thing about the SuperContest Gold is the winner-take-all prize structure. In its first year, the SuperContest Gold attracted 94 entries and the winner took home $470,000.
