The Washington Commanders absolutely blew it for 412 entries in the 2023 Circa Survivor contest with their Week 5 loss to the Chicago Bears, causing the largest chunk of Circa Survivor eliminations this past week in the NFL. There were 547 entries eliminated in total in Week 5 of Circa Survivor, leaving a field of 1,836 remaining.
The Commanders caused by far the biggest group of losses in Week 5, but other losses were had by the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots. The Ravens were selected by 58 contestants, the Bills by 28 contestants, the Broncos by 17 contestants, and the Patriots by 13 contestants. Seven other teams caused Circa Survivor eliminations but none of those seven were picked by more than five entries.
The most popular Circa Survivor selection in Week 5 was the Miami Dolphins, selected by 890 entries. The Detroit Lions weren’t too far behind with 837 picks. Both the Dolphins and Lions won easily.
The loss of 547 entries picked up the pace a bit after only 96 entries were busted out in Week 4.
At the beginning of the NFL season, the 2023 Circa Survivor contest had 9,267 entries, all for $1,000 each. The remaining 1,836 entries now have an implied value of $5,047 per entry. Of course, every contestant is trying to be the last contestant standing to win the entire $9,267,000 prize pool.
